Warm Air Heating
This type of heating system is suited to open spaced buildings that require heating quickly to a given temperature. Warm air heating units can be floor mounted, or when space is important the units can be suspended.
This type of heating system can be open flued (The combustion air is extracted from the room to be heated) and is ideal for applications in factories, warehouses, showrooms and sports halls.
The heating system can also be room sealed with a flued fan allowing horizontal or vertical flue applications. This type of heater should be used in situations where a negative pressure or over pressure is present i.e. high ventilation rates. These heaters can also be used in situations were the atmosphere is contaminated such as garages or chemical stores.
Radiant Heating
This type of heating system is ideal for large high open spaces that require a rapid heat up time with minimum roof heat loss. Radiant heating can also be used to spot heat individual areas within a factory such as workbenches or packing areas and each unit can be individually zoned.
Radiant heating systems normally reduce draughts and air movement within a building and can therefore reduce air pollution problems. Due to the sun radiation principle of this type of heating system it gives a more natural environment to the occupants.
Due to the high efficiency of radiant heating systems it is possible to save 70% on fuel costs compared to existing boiler based systems. Radiant heating systems are very simple to install and maintain and they do not require any floor space.

Boiler Systems
An LPHW boiler heating system is ideal for buildings that require heating in numerous areas such as offices. The system usually comprises of a boiler (Hot water generator), which is linked by a network of heating pipework to heat emitters such as radiators.
Each radiator is normally fitted with a thermostatic radiator valve, which will control the temperature of the room it is fitted in. This type of heating system can be zoned to allow individual areas to be heated whilst other areas are turned off to give energy savings.
Most new heating boilers are of the condensing type which are highly efficient compared to older conventional flue models.
Controls
Temperature controls allow you to keep your heating at the optimum level, no matter what the temperature is outside. In addition, if zoned, you can set different temperatures in different parts of your building at different times of day and night.
Effective Temperature Control means you benefit from:
Legislation and Legal Obligations
The end of 2009 brings with it the end of Refrigerant R22
All air conditioning and refrigeration users need to take notice of the new regulations!
From 31st December 2009 it will be illegal to use virgin hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) such as R-22 (which until 5 years ago was the most commonly used refrigerant in new systems) when servicing and maintaining air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
Until the 31st December 2014 temporary use of recycled/recovered R-22 is possible, but availability will be limited and costs high.
